Yes! You can identify as neurodivergent without a diagnosis, and maybe you don’t want or need a diagnosis. Or maybe you do want to get a diagnosis to make things clearer, and I can support you with that.

Values driven - honesty, integrity, authenticity, inclusive, anti-oppression. Lived experience.

We’ll have an informal chat - no pressure, just a chat to get to know each other a little. You can tell me a little about yourself, including what brought you to a counsellor. I can tell you about myself, including how I work, what I do (what I don’t/can’t do!). If we agree to work together, we can make a plan to get started, or you can take a few days to think it over and decide.

I use a person-centred and acceptance-based approach, incorporating mindfulness and elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). What does that mean?!! It means I won't tell you what to do, how you should think or what to feel. Instead, we'll work together to understand your experiences and explore what matters to you.

No, but I can help you find someone you can do an assessment for you. You can contact them yourself, or I can go alongside you in that process - whatever feels right for you.

That’s ok - lots of people don’t know what to talk about. Mental health is messy, so it can be difficult to know what’s what. A lot of people start with a vague feeling of “I don’t feel right, I don’t know why, but I know I want it to change” ….and that’s enough! You don't need to start with a clear explanation or a list of things to work on. We start where you are and we take things at your pace - just starting to talk can be enough to help you figure out which direction you want to go.
